Flatrack for MULTI, Palletized Loading System.

Flat racks are used with the Palletized Load System (PLS) which is a truck-based logistics system (entered service in the United States Army in 1993). It provides rapid movement of combat configured loads.

The Palletized Load System (PLS) is composed of a prime mover truck with integral self-loading and unloading transport capability, a trailer, and demountable cargo beds (flatracks). The flatracks are loaded with ammunition, supplies, vehicles etc. The flatracks are lifted on and off the truck and trailer by a hydraulic powered arm mounted on the truck and controlled from the cab.

Assembly required. This item is an unassembled and unpainted plastic kit. Instructions included. The factory photos may show it as a fully assembled and painted model.  Paint, glue, and decals are not included but can be purchased separately.

   These models are comparable to the 1/87 scale Roco Minitanks. They are the same size/scale.
