CMP (Canadian Military Pattern) trucks were a collaboration between the British War Office

and the Canadian factories of General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler during WWII. These were a series of standard designs the most common being a 3ton 4X2 or 4X4 Chevy and Ford trucks with the standard British designed short cab. Over 500,000 of these CMP trucks were built during the war.

British vehicles serving in Northern and Western Europe in 1944-45 had an Allied white star painted on their sides for simplified recognition purposes.
