United States, United Kingdom, Sherman M4A4 ARV, Armored Recovery Vehicle.
Artitec 87.120. New 1/87, Kit, Unfinished Model.
The Sherman M4A4 Armored Recovery Vehicle or ARV was a simple British adaptation, simply removing the turret from a Sherman and equipping the vehicle with repair gear. The Sherman ARV was used for towing disabled tanks off the battlefield and it was equipped with a crane in the front, allowing its crew to remove engines from tanks in the field.
British vehicles serving in Northern and Western Europe in 1944-45 had an Allied white star painted on their sides for simplified recognition purposes.

I found a photo online of an actual vehicle. The rigging on the maintenance crane needs to be modified to be correct. It appears that the boom is held up by a steel cable, and off the end of the boom is a chain hoist. I simulated one using Sheepscot parts from an old crane boom kit. Painting was fun, I used seven different shades of olive drab to highlight all the items stowed on the deck.
