The Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck (HEMTT) is a US Army supply vehicle that was used on a large scale in the First and Second Iraq Wars, replacing numerous older truck types in this role.
Since 1982, the Oshkosh Truck Corporation in Wisconsin (USA) has been supplying the US Army with the HEMTT in large numbers (original name: Heavy Expandable Multipurpose Tactical Truck). The internal model designation is M977 A2 Series (formerly M977 Series). The HEMTT is a strong 4-axle multi-purpose truck built in various versions and has been the backbone of the Army's supply units since the Gulf Wars.
